Av Todays plan was to explore Antibes old town. The heat was really intense so we minimized the walking and skipped the walk around Cap d’Antibes. It turned out to be a good desicion, only the 2,5 km walk to Antibes was challenge enough. Luckily there are lots of beaches here so we had the swim clothes on to be able to jump into the ocean when we got to warm.
During the walk we encountered lots of nice art objects from an onging exhibition here in Antibes.
The old town in Antibes was very charming, and the harbour had lots of nice boats to look at. We also visited the market and got some nice goodies home with us.
On the way back to our hotel we found a beer store where bought some local IPA to bring home. The walk home to the hotel was very hot and when we got back everybody was sooo tired. We drank lots of water and chilled in the cool hotel room until we regained energy to go down to the beach. After a nice cooling swim, we bought some food and ate in the hotel room, nobody was keen on walking around anymore today… ?
Now we are all chilling in the room, watching the football worldcup quarter final between USA and France.
Tomorrow we will continue to Provence, will be very interesting since they have really high temperatures where we will go, so we are happy that we have both a pool and an airconditioned room in our hotel.
