Sweden roadtrip 2020 – day 5 Rosvik-Kiruna

Today we left Trundön for this time. Our travel schedule today was to go to Kiruna with two charging stops in Töre and Gällivare. After Gällivare there are no more superchargers, but we have calculated that we will manage by charging where we sleep.

After we left my sisters house, we went to Luleå for some grocery shopping. The Covid-19 situation in Gällivare/Kalix area is not so good so we wanted to ensure that we can avoid to go to stores or meet people if we can. After some food shopping and lunch, we took a short detour into Luleå for some coffee and hanging out in the sun.

After we finnished our coffee we drove towards Töre. It was a very quick drive and while the car was charging there was time for a short walk around Töre.

We continued our trip to Kiruna and next stop was a quick one at the Arctic circle.

Last stop before Kiruna was the most northern supercharger in Sweden, located in Puoltikasvaara.

We arrived in Kiruna in time for dinner so we just checked into our cabin and dropped the kids off there and went to pick up some food. We had found a nice food truck with local food that we wanted to try. Reindeer and moose was the theme in our meka. We brought the food back and enjoyed a nice mark in our cabin.

After we had dinner it was time for our first hike: midnattssolstigen. A hike that takes around 2 hours. We packed our bags and headed towards the starting point. And what a hike. The views were amazing. Pictures cannot capture it properly…

This was a perfect starting hike for us, and we learned that quick energy is very handy when hiking with kids…?
